Shopify pre-arbitration template
Respond when the same chargeback comes back.
Copy a pre-arbitration response structure for the same transaction after an earlier win, then attach a clean case-history map and the strongest current evidence before the deadline.
Pre-arbitration is not a copy-paste of the old win.
Shopify describes pre-arbitration as the customer disputing the same transaction again after losing the initial dispute. The first win belongs in the timeline, but the active response still needs to answer the current deadline, case ID, and evidence reason.
Copyable response template.
Evidence to put before the old case history.
- Current pre-arbitration case ID, deadline, disputed amount, reason, and status from Shopify admin.
- Direct proof for the current reason: delivery, authorization, refund, subscription, product, or service records.
- Prior winning case ID, response date, and outcome, clearly labeled as supporting context.
- One timeline connecting original payment, first dispute, first outcome, second dispute, and current response deadline.
- Screenshots or records rather than external links whenever the bank reviewer needs to inspect evidence quickly.
